I miss length in linear type games. All non-GTA style games (which I love) tend to be rather short nowadays, and with little replay value. I want games like Deus Ex dammit!
I miss the time when the "hard" difficulty setting actually WAS hard, and didn't need to be unlocked..
I miss point-and-click games.
I miss health kits.
I miss boss fights where the boss was just an extremely tough enemy, and not a puzzle.
I miss games with little to no story. I mean, if the story is good that's fine but most games have boring and uninteresting storylines and characters. Today, even the smallest games have a story and you're forced to watch long cutscenes and tedious dialog when all you want is to play. Sometimes you just want to enjoy a fun game without a story like in the good old NES days.
