The HPL1 engine has the Particle and Material editor but in earlier and much more basic forms. There are no level or model editors for HPL1.
I understand, but my question is
They will release these tools for this version of the engine or will be for the next version?
At the moment this trying to compile the Map editor is in the "Tools" in the source code
From time to time I need to reply stuff in spanish, I hope no one minds

herrerae, los editores de los vídeos son específicos del motor HPL2, y me temo que no son compatibles con HPL1. El que estás compilando es el editor de niveles 2D que se usó en Energetic.
Espero haberte contestado

No theres no specific level editor for penumbra but you can use Maya or any other collada exporting 3D tool to make levels for penumbra.

Have you made a level for Penumbra before? (And also, I've tried getting Maya, I never really found the link to it but once I did, but it was like... SO COMPLICATED to understand how to install it.
No i haven't made any level for Penumbra, but i have read the help from the HPL1 tools and it shows how you can import level geometry and lights from 3D tools. Insted of Maya you could try Blender 2.5 that is as powerful as Maya save your levels as .fbx and them use the fbx to collada converter use this link
http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/fb...er_win.exe to download it.
Blender 2.5 is FREE no need for cracks and can do what any other so called high end 3d app can do, you can find it here.
http://www.blender.org/development/relea...-254-beta/
You could also try Wings3D is a simple but powerful free 3d app with a UI much simple them Blender and as native collada 1.4 exporter.
I must say i never tried to make levels to the HPL 1 engine so i don't really know if this tools will work with it, i just know they export to the collada format that is used by HPL and so it should work.
What are people using to map for HPL1?
I've started to use Maya but it is seriously complex!
