So like i understood the walking zombies that tries to kill you is walking scientist that does not want to kill you? Because after when philip killed dr.swanson it just broke my heart. Please explain.
The general concensus is that Clarence became insane (even more than normal) and gave you visions that can't be explained logically.
I understood it so that Clarence made Philip to remove a threat (to Clarence) by affecting his senses because the cure mentioned by Dr. Swanson probably wouldn't affect Clarence's health very positively.
I understood it as Swanson WAS infected, and when you killed her (it) Clarence made you see a dead woman, tricking you into thinking she wasn't infected and you killed your only hope.
My problem with all the "Clarence makes you see it" is that the enemies actually attack and kill you. The brain can do some crazy stuff, but I doubt it could simulate death by bludgeoning.
and that's why the theory I stated above works.

You have a point, but then how to account for the fact Swanson guides you through the Shelter without showing the slightest disturbance?
I think Swanson was no Zombie for one reason:

I got hit many times by her (in zombie form) and didn't lose any health, I think it should have killed me if she was a real zombie

This "normal talk" of swanson is no proof imo, because the zombie-Professor who you give the saw to, also talks normally to you and then turns out to be a zombie. Man, that freaked me out *shudder*

Well, if "normally" means "with an extremely disturbed voice, confusedly and apparently undergoing intense physiological changes", then I totally agree.
oh well, I thought, he's a professor, they always sound like that Wink
