Today we posted a new video to our YouTube Channel. Mikko Tarmia takes us on a tour of his studio and talks about the making of the music for Amnesia.

Thanks to the over 2000 pre-orders that we got for Amnesia, we made an ingame commentary system. While playing Amnesia you will have the option to turn on commentaries and listen to over 60 minutes of chitchat about the creation of the game.

With this video we give you a little taste, more will come before the release of Amnesia. Make sure to read the latest blog post from Thomas that talks about the making of the commentary.

He didn't touch the game while creating music? Just based on script? This made me lol.
I think this commentary thing add more rich feel to the game. Good work!
I'm proud I preordered this(I maybe will do a Let's Play videos of this, I havent ever done before, but I think this is worth it)

I really agree on this, I preordered it really early so I've been on my toes during all this time.
Say, I've a couple of questions for you:

- Did doing the commentary change the game at all? Were there some points where, after doing a sort of commentary, you thought it sounded awesome/horrible when you explained it, and then decided to add more/less of it?

- Do you think the commentary will change how you will approach games going forward?
Commentary was the last thing we did so there was no time to change anything Smile Cannot say that doing it made me wanna change anything though. Other than having bought a better mic before the recording day Tongue Doing the commentary did not expose any flaws we did not already know about. It is more of summary of what we already knew. At least for me.
I really admire how he cares about how his music affects the game's atmosphere. Few composers, even some popular composers, care about the game- only their own music. Mr. Tarmia cares about both his music and the game, which results in a much more memorable game experience overall. I bought the Penumbra soundtrack and love it. I will also be buying the Amnesia soundtrack. I hope you guys keep him for your next game Smile
BTW, will we get an Amnesia OST?Angel
Yes, but that costs some extra money, as Mikko said. Wink
It's a good thing to see more games get commentary modes other than VALVe.

also If I pre order, is it retail or download, and can I use my key with steam?
