I've gathered all the ingredients:

Poison - Plant, Choir
Blood - One of the rooms with the grate in the middle use the jar and string
Excretions - Meat with the rope above the well.

But I can't for the life of me work out how to break the boards to enter the labs. How do I do it? Getting a little sick and tired of this now.

Ah. Worked it out. All I had to do was soldier on in to the open area and events will open the door for you.

Just go to the chancel (the giant hall with the cross-shaped bridge). The answer will come to you there...

Got it ty. Now I can't work out how to stop the cogs.

I jammed them with a piece of rubble I found upstairs.

Where the bloody hell ARE the labs?I can't find jack.
