I wanna take that bet!
Off topic threads are opened to discuss stuff, most often SERIOUS stuff. Just because it says "Off topic" it doesn't mean everybody should post bollocks. Grow up, attend a few classes, read a few books and you'll know what I mean. It doesn't take a genius either. Here you could talk about almost any subject, that's correct, so why don't you actually say something ? Moreover, off topic or not, your question/observation was dumb. So no matter how you twist this, you won't get that fake-mojo working on me. No hard feelings mate.

Home-work: find out what netiquette is all about (I'm breaking quite a few rules myself). Here's a good one to get you going: `The most important rule of netiquette is, "Think before you post". If what you intend to post will not make a positive contribution to the newsgroup and be of interest to several readers, do not post it! Personal messages to one or two individuals should not be posted to newsgroups—use private e-mail instead.'
Why do I sense there's a sudden amout of people who hate me here...

I wouldn't go that far. Try to understand why I said what I said. You found information about that netiquette thing ? Here's a valuable link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netiquette .

no one hates you Smile
its just that you cannot make a community around a game, it has to come by itself

The game is not that well-known, as much as most indie games. If you want to promote the game, post link+info about the game in forums you regulary visit (and do not have a tread about Penumbra already). Attention is what makes indie games bestsellers.
I will buy AOL and put info on this place on it!
I need some funds first...*goes to get lemonade stand*
