In the sewers, in the end, the last enemy found me and killed me. After the death screen I appeared in the same place near the end, but this time, there was no enemy there :S

Same thing happened to me. I got kinda disappointed.

Same thing happened to me. I got kinda disappointed.

I think developers just "did it for the lulz". Tongue
I died by a monster once.

Happened to me as well, but was in the Prison.

Happened to me near the beggining, first time you see the monster, I saw him going to a corridor on the right, so I went left to avoid him... But he appeared from some kinda dust and was about to slash me. I crouched in a corner as I had nowhere to escape, while I saw him coming slowly to kill me. When he was 2 feet from me, he bursted into a dust and dissapeared. I was like "Jesus Christ, PHEW"
I think the little differences make it really neat. It's possible to just run up to a monster, have it kill you, and then it'll disappear sometimes. But it's also effective at hinting where to go.

I think that if everything stayed completely the same each time it would get boring. It takes about two hits for some monsters to take you down, so if they stayed in the same places each time it could end up making the game impossible to progress, and therefore annoying, for some. If you die they know they've already done their scares and can resort to something else later on. No use holding you back.

I also like the other, very subtle things.
In the prison [spoiler]a monster burst through a door I was about to open, and ended up killing me. Next time there was no monster in that room, but one was wander the halls, I was always catching glimpses of him walking around corners. I managed to make it through the area without another encounter.

I saw that. When I finally exited the dungeon he saw me burn the lock.
