I've been playing Amnesia, but I've started running into some annoying bugs. I have all the latest drivers, but the follow has happened to me..

1) The game crashing when I try to load my latest save.
2) The game asking me to select my profile every single time I press esc.
3) And most recently, I load up my saved game and get this..

EDIT: Log attached - spec is ATI HD4770, 2GB Mem, Vista, 250GB HD, Intel Dual Core E4600

And I did also get the dev_user profile turning up after a crash, but I just deleted it.

It's a good game, but this is bloody annoying. Looking at the log file, some of the errors include:

WARNING: Sub mesh 'painting_image02' does not exist in mesh 'painting_portrait.msh'!
WARNING: Sub mesh 'painting_image02' does not exist in mesh 'painting_portrait.msh'!
WARNING: Could not find player start node ''
ERROR: StartPos '' does not exist!

Umm. System specs? Hpl.log? Need more info.

I have the exact same problem, and a dev_user profile appeared from nowhere. I managed to fix it by creating a third profile, I loaded the game from dev_user, and pressed escape, when the select profile window appeared I selected the third profile. My games now save on the third profile.
No idea why this happens... but its weeeeeird.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bits

Try running the game as Administrator and set write permission for Amnesia.exe.
