SOMA consistently crashes for me, on two different machines running Debian testing, with Nvidia GPUs, and the proprietary Nvidia driver packaged by Debian. On one machine (Alienware with a GTX 660M) the game crashes minutes after starting and poking around the apartment; on another (with a 560 Ti) it crashes immediately on launch.
But I've narrowed it down a bit... GLVND seems to be enabled in Debian's packaging of the Nvidia mess. I've found defining environment variable __GLVND_DISALLOW_PATCHING=1 for now is helping SOMA run just fine. Anyway just thought I'd mention, since GLVND is about to be everywhere.
