Did anyone try to beat the game without using the Lamp or Tinderboxes?

>:)

There's too many light in this game.
This isn't your first play through, right? On the first play through I was too damn scared to even THINK about doing this. I could probably pull it off now though.
It's easy. Actually, when I first time played it I saved A LOT of tinderboxes/oil resources. Playing in dark is much easier, you just need to take a break sometimes when the Daniel sanity goes way too low (he loses sense and body control for a while).
How did you keep these items? (I mean the pipe, string, etc)

He doesn't have Agrippa's head, so he didn't even bother trying to complete the entire game. He skipped a bunch of the endgame material.

I didn't even know about any of this stuff myself when I first played through. It would have been nice if there was more encouragement to get involved than some disturbing-looking character telling me to flip a switch; no thanks, you don't look so friendly.
Actualy playing in dark is the best to play this game in speedrun, Monsters can't see in dark they only see light so why would you turn on light when monsters see you then?

Believe me this game is less scary without light, cause the lantarn doesn;t got any use, stuff you need to proceed the game will light up Blue colloured so realy....lantarn has no use, at least they should made you swing at the monster with it xD
If you've got the brightness set up right, you absolutely require light to get through several sections in the game. Or at least without going blind straining to see in the almost-pitch blackness of other parts.

Not using light sources means you are permanently insane, robbing you of the contrast between sanity and insanity. Amnesia is the kind of game that you need to work with, play your part in creating the experience. Roleplay it, essentially.

In case you missed it at the start, this game isn't about winning or fulfilling every outcome, it's about immersion. Saving Agrippa is only a choice. He doesn't really provide a compelling reason to save him anyway.
Well I'm doing the darkness challenge right now - ofc it's not my first playthrough.
Pretty fun so far, I'm in the machinery room and I have over 70 tinderboxes. I'm planning to get every single item in the game. =)

EDIT: I'm doing this for the sake of getting every item, not for the sake of being in the dark.
