Full Version: Unable to run SOMA

i Have recently built a new computer and i am now struggling to run soma. first problem i ran into was vcomp100.dll not found, but i got that error message away after installing c++ 2010 x64. but now each time i try to run the game it shows 'Fatal ERROR Fmod could not be initialized' after i received a black screen. my pc specs are i5 3.3ghz 8gb ram and using integrated graphics intel 530. my graphics driver is up to date. i also downloaded the game on my laptop which has lower end specs but was able to run it. is there anything i still need to install? please i need help
Intel graphics are not supported by SOMA. It's not even supported for Amnesia. The only Intel cards that have a chance at running them are the Intel HD 4500 (around that number or higher I think).

Thanx for the reply. My laptop has intel graphics 4000 which might explain why it worked. I really hope that would be the case. Im getting a gtx960 4gb on the weekend so hopefully that should solve the problem Smile

I have tested amnesia on my pc with the intel graphics 530 which ran without problems.

You need to install the 32bit one too.
SOMA is not supported on 32-bit systems.

You need to install the 32bit one too.

I have just tried installing that now. It was unable to install as i received a error stating that i have a better/updated version on this machine, which would be the 64bit version. Tomorrow i would be picking up my gtx960 and i will let you know if the problem persists with the new GPU selected.

i Have finally received my gtx960. i have finished installing all drivers. SOMA still wont work. Keep receiving same error
Copy and paste the contents of the hpl.log file. You can find it in Documents/My Games/Soma/.
