Like I said in the title, I'm seeing a lot of what appears to be bright pink glowing blood decals. This is supposed to be blood, right? What can I do to fix this?
I believe it is meant to "glow". At least it does on mine, and in videos I've seen. I guess its just so you can see it easily?
It's not blood, so is as it should! Turn off your FPS-mode
I always thought it were petals of a flower or fluid from the amnesia potion, not sure.
I would say that even if not FPS, blood would be a something you were much more likely to expect to find than petals, in places where people have died, been tortured, etc etc.
I had seen the falling petals in places, but not made the connection with the ones on the floor...

I think you were right, the Damascus rose petals. Which somehow glow... Perhaps because Daniel is just imagining them there?
In the intro Daniel is walking with a half drunken amnesia potion in his hand, spilling most of it on the floor while he begins to forget. When he wakes up there are pieces of a bottle/vial (transparent glass) lying around him. The part that looks like pink splatter on the floor is the amnesia potion. As you go through the first level you'll follow the pink splats to the location where Daniel first mixed the potion and wrote his Note To Self.
The rose petals are redder and actually look like rose petals and not blood splats if you look up close. I think there are some right where you wake up as well.
That's it as far as I know.
