They disappear in Choir.

What? Well, they do stay, but I know a way to make them disappear. Make them find you, run back to the loading door. As he is running down to you down the stairs, go in the door. Wait for the "scary" music to go away, then go back in. The monster never reappeared. Smile

No, as far as they lose you they WILL disappear if you are far enough from them. You don't need to go through loading door. That's how the script works. That's the rule.

In Chancel, tho, those 3 monsters triggered by capture script never will lose you while you are on the same level as they are. The only way to make them disappear is to drop them down, thru the floor, as my 1st B/T gallery video shows.

Having spent enough time in the choir, I was of the mind that they would sort of randomly spawn there given enough time and being in the right location. Were there only a limited number of one-time spawn points?
The way the following works is that there are areas wich enable a Brute connected to that area.
When an area is triggered it is disabled, and no more area can be triggered until brute is disabled.
Brute will be disabled if the player enters a torture room corrdidor (and each its end) or by normal
means (player cannot see brute and its path is over). After this new areas can be triggered.
When you get killed by a monster, you spawn right around where you died, and the monster is no longer there. Do they just disappear after that?

I don't know how many times I've been killed and then ended up spawning right near where I was killed. I walked around constantly on edge (especially in the Kitchen/Storage scene.
Yep, they do.
Just passed the prison areas and every monster thus far has despawned after a minute or so of not finding me, with exception of the water monster. Make sure to hide quickly and just stare at the wall. When the music returns to normal, the monster should be gone. Haven't been hit by a monster yet other than the water guy. Hoping to keep it that way *crosses fingers*.

We are both right I guess. But when I was playing, I was sneeking past the monsters in the Chancel and went in a room that the monster didn't go in and the monster disappeared... I never thought he would, but anyways, he did.
Poeple always forget to throw stuff at the monsters if he is chasing you.
In Soviet Russia, monster despawn you.
