This is probably a stupid question, but I figure I'll ask it anyway. I'm looking to pick up a new laptop, and I'm trying to figure out what the minimum specs I'll need to run a couple of games, most notably Amnesia (and Penumbra).

The biggest question I have is the Asus 1215N - which is a netbook with the new Ion 2 GPU. I've found one piece of evidence that says that the demo ran well on medium/high settings, but I was hoping someone in this forum might have a bit more knowledge, and would be able to tell me if I should be able to play it on something that minimal.

Thanks.
Go to canyourunit.com that will test the current comp and also tell you the requirements so youll know for future reference.
Best thing is to simply try the demos for Amnesia and Penumbra.

I would if I had the laptop - but I'm looking to buy, and am trying to figure out if it would be able to play it.

Although at this point I don't really have any other viable laptop possibilities.
It is a bit tricky to give 100% good minimum specs, especially for laptops. This because some graphics cards with higher numbers, still have lower specs.

But in general, an okay minimum is the Geforce 6600 and the Radeon 2600 HD.

And stay away from intel graphics cards!
