I've tried the threads, but as I'm not very technically minded I need your help.
Just bought this from steam, and it won't run, doesn't even show in task manager.

i5 3330 at 3Ghz
16Gb DDR3 ram @ 1600Mhz
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050ti Gfx card

Help please
Have you tried running it manually via its folder on your computer?

Right click SOMA in your Steam Library, select "Properties", and under the "Local Files" tab, select the "Browse Local Files". Try running either Soma.exe or Soma_NoSteam.exe from this directory. If there are any error windows, please report back.

If the game still does, what appears to be nothing, please locate and post the hpl.log file. The directory appropriate for your system can be found at Problem X in the Troubleshooting Guide: https://www.frictionalgames.com/forum/thread-30585.html

Thanks. It's sorted now. I did read somewhere that it may have conflicts with OBS running? I bought it because I am planning a series of fright night streams, will this be an issue for me while running OBS?
Only one way to find out, I haven't had that issue myself, but if you do come back and let us know =)

Problem A4, which talks about Background Programs, lists OBS as a potential program which may cause issues. You could potentially try OBS Studio and see if you can get it to work. I don't recall having any problems running SOMA with OBS recording videos to make into gif images later.

If there are updates to OBS or OBS Studio, I recommend you update those then try again. Beyond there, I can't really offer much more support. Good luck!

Will try tonight and report back if I encounter any problems Smile
