Should I even bother buying Amnesia if I only can run it with a Radeon 5450 512MB card? I haven't seen anyone using this card with Amnesia and the Amnesia specs seem to indicate that such low-cost cards may not work.
Try the demo at http://amnesiagame.com/#demo. The game should work fine on a new card like that.
@jens: thank you for your reply.
Well, my budget has went up (a little). Now I'm considering an ATI 5570. My biggest limitation is a 300 watt PSU. I have money for a video card or a PSU, but not both, so I'm just trying to find a good low-power card.

Anybody playing with a good low-power card they like?

That's great!

Basically, I've bought a new computer just so my wife and I can play this game and the last step in the process is adding an aftermarket video card (the new box came with Intel integrated graphics). My previous computer was from the Athlon XP days with an old GeForce FX board and had recently blown its capacitors, so it was begging for a replacement. Problem is, I've been out of touch with what's available for so long, I have mistrusted my own judgement, but it looks like I'm probably looking in all the right directions.

Thanks for the reply!

you"re welcome ...

btw , i was astonisched to find out my 2 year old laptop could handle even more modern games like call of duty black ops at the highest settings with aa (anti-aliassing / edge smoothing) off (played with an xbox360-controller):

personally i think that a "good" cpu(my laptop has dualcore t8100 2,1ghz with 3gb mem) is also very important to support the graphic-card.
I would like to know what framerate you get on that PC.
er.... how to display the frames per second in-game ?
