Am I the only one who agrees?
Ive been having this idea in my head for so long i just have to tell people.
So my idea is Amnesia on xbox 360 (and maybe ps3). I know frictional games
is working on machine for the pigs but i just had to tell my idea or my head would explode.
So anyway in xbox version of amnesia there would be co-op gameplay mod with split screen so
you could play Amnesia with a friend. And maybe simple customstory editor too. Amnesia on
mobile devises such as android and iOS would be so badass too.

I just met you
and this is crazy.
But heres my xbox.
amnesia maybe?
The ideas of cross platform and multiplayer Amnesia have already been discussed (quite extensively I might add) and have ended rather negatively; I believe the consensus is that neither would work that well. I've never heard of the idea of having the editor on an xbox/other platform, but I don't think it would work well either; such limited controls and movement with a controller when compared to a mouse and keyboard. Amnesia on a phone would be awful; it's focused on immersion through visuals and sounds, neither of which would be at all effective due to the limited quality of a phone.

I enjoyed your except from that song though Tongue

ok thats cool
Just to clear things up: Frictional Games isn't working on AAMFP, The Chinese Room are. Frictional are the producers.
But I would not be surprised if we in the future will see Frictional console releases since they on their website were looking for people with experience with coding and working with consoles (If I remember correctly)

The consoles might work. Split-screen? Not scary. iOS and Android?

There isn't anything I can say that hasn't already been said. Consoles are extremely outdated at this point, and if frictional wants to make the best games they can and push their creativity forward, I'm pretty sure consoles are instantly out of the picture. Unless they have the time to make to make two different versions of the game (which they don't). Actually, now that I think about it, I think they would have to make 3 versions of the game just to get it on one console. They use OpenGl on Pc and xbox uses direct x. So not only do they have create a watered down version for Xbox, they have to rewrite the entire game and make it operate properly for direct x. That's a very big job for a team of their size that make PC games, which I think is around 5 to 7 people. Its either struggle with that for years or get someone else to do it. Which means getting involved some kind of other company to do it for them which is something they probably would never do after their experience with publishers from the penumbra overture days. It probably won't happen untill far in the future, and if it does ever happen, you will probably never see a cell phone version of anything they make. Plus, its a pretty well known fact that coop horror games arn't scary at all, so...yeah. You got dead space 3 coming out, so that's as close as its going to get to coop horror games.
An old post, but related: http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/2011...anted.html At least you now know they've thought about console development.
wow frictional games was planning to launch a game on xbox 360? cool, that´s an start!
