I don't know what a mobility modder is and even how to use it, but i'll give it a try. Anyway, how can i get the latest version of the game? x_x'

I'm having the exact same problem on my vaio with Vista 32-bit and an NVIDIA GEforce 8400M GT. I tried to instal the latest drivers from nvidea but when it was checking the compatibility with my graphics card it stopped the installation.
I downloaded amnesia through steam so i think i have the latest version.

Hope you guys can help us vaio users because we're pretty much screwed.

Don't think there is much we can do about it, Sony should update their drivers if they are locking out the usage of the normal drivers.

Perhaps try using drivers and modified inf from http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/ ?

I've also tried the drivers from this site and the problem was the same. And the installation never finishes when using a mobility modder.

Have you tried logging into safe mode and installing them?
use google.come to find out how to boot up your pc in 'safe mode' (xp or vista, depending what your computer runs) and try uninstalling/installing your drivers manually, This should solve most installation issues.

Edit : I've tried that and the problem was the same, It says the hardware is incompatible. :x

Sony has no interest in updating their drivers. They haven't updated the drivers since 2008. They did one minor controller update to fix an hdmi -->TV issue and that's it.

I'm going to try to monkey around with the drivers a little longer but will probably have the person who gave me the game ask for their money back.

But regardless,

I was able to update my graphics drivers to the drivers available at the time of Amnesia's release. Shouldn't it work?
