Frictional Games Forum (read-only)

Right, I bought Amnesia off of steam and thought that I maybe able to play a half desent game on my PC. I've installed the game countless times and get the same problem.


My Specs:
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Basic
System Model: Aspire M3641
Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Graphics card? Any error that pops up?

Nope, When I boot it up on steam, it starts the whole "Preparing the start Amnesia etc etc" then it just stops, no more loading. The steam dialogue box disappears then nothing. PC just continues like normal.

Graphics Card:
Nvidia GeForce7300 LE

Try launching it from the steamapps folder.

Check the integrity of the files on steam.

Can you explain that please?

Right click the game on steam and choose verify game files or something like that ;-) steam will go ahead and make sure your installation isn't corrupt.

Have you tried the oldest trick? Rebooting computer.
