I got Amnesia and every time daniel (correct name?) goes insane it sounds like he is eating an entire pack of salteens. Wtf is that noise supposed to be? It doesnt sound like anything like him biting his nails or teeth grinding.

If someone could explain this to me the game will be a little less annoying for me.

I don't actually think it's teeth-grinding... Has anyone at frictional actually called it that?

To me, I always thought it was him imagining things like the cockroaches clicking behind him; especially since one of the insanity effects is bugs crawling all over the screen.

I always imagined it as the coldness of insanity clawing away at Daniel because it comes with this frost-like effect on the screen, and goes away when you're by the light (i.e. warmth). Just my theory.
