Holy shit congratulations guys, you all really deserved it!

I saw that they won best sound, but I didn't watch the whole awards ceremony so they may have won some other things.

A quote from the igf.com site:

"In a diverse set of award-winners, other Independent Games Festival award recipients included Frictional Games' psychological horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which took home awards for Technical Excellence and Excellence in Audio, as well as the sponsor-supported Direct2Drive Vision Award."

In other words, they won 3 awards

Maybe I'll find the courage to play Amnesia someday.

Will there be an english retail version in Europe soon?

I hope, there will be a multilingual retail release for europe.
Can't waiting to buy the game.
Please find a publisher and then let the world knew, what horror is.

Unfortunately, no... at least not here in Canada (EB Games/Gamestop).

Jens, what is with an european release?
We are waiting for that.
I have the game but I really wanted a retail DVD.
A good game should always be original.

Do you not find a publisher?

This doesn't surprise me. If you mute the game sound and play, the fright factor and 80% (or more) of the immersive quality of the game goes right out the window. Sound quality was a HUGE factor in the game.

This is pretty cool. My friend said he saw Amnesia in-stores about 2 weeks ago, but since I forgot about this forum up till now, I feel kinda left out.

Now that Amnesia is on disc, I can FINNALY share this to all my friends that want to play Amnesia, but don't like buying games off the internet (-.-)
