Perhaps they do, but I'd imagine their intention is for you, the player, to fill in the blanks for yourself. Although the game DOES provide some clues: "spiraling towers, endless deserts and impossible geometry".
In my mind's eye, I see it as a mix of
MC Escher-Style buildings and the
Sandworm Desert in Beetlejuice.
A STRANGE COSMIC WORLD OF TOWERING CYCLOPEAN MONOLITHS OF IMPOSSIBLE GEOMETRY.
Whatever the other world is I'm sure it's very Lovecraftian.
The other world is minecraft... isn't it?
