Hello Forum-users,
First of all i apologize for my english, i'm german
A week ago, I formatted (is that correct? I mean that I deleted all data + microsoft) my PC, but saved Amnesia on an USB-stick. After that, I wanted to play Amnesia again, but realized that I had forgotten the serial key, because the game asked for it. I looked in my E-Mail mailbox, but the E-Mail with the link to Amnesia was already deleted. I tried everything (legal of course) on my PC to get the key, but it didn't work.I tried the program "KeyFinder" and searched for the key with the "run"-option. Now I just can ask to get the game new, or someone tells me a way to get the key.
My Questions are:
1.Is there another way I can get the serial key?
2.If not, would someone of the Frictional Games Team give me a new game?

Yes, correct.
Although you can't delete Microsoft (it's a company). I wish you could though.
Anyway, to the questions:

They should be able to help you out.
You probably need to send the name, email etc. so they can actually verify you bought it.

I don't think they will give you a new copy.
Although I do think you will be able to recover the lost code.

I got the E-Mail from Jens and got my Serial Key again. I really have to thank you both, I am going to play Amnesia now
Hi, sorry for necro-ing this thread. I also did this exact same thing and I can't figure out where I bought Amnesia from. If I provide information and the debit card used to purchase Amnesia; would there be a way to find my purchase and serial key? Thanks in advance!
If you PM me your name and what email you think you used (or emails if unsure) when buying I can look it up using that.

If you bought the game here at the FG store, you can go to
http://shelf.frictionalgames.com and enter your email and order number. That way you can recover your serial by yourself. (If you still have the order number at least..)

Order number and serial key are within the same e-mail. So, chances are they don't have either. However, in that same link, there is another link labeled "Esellerate After Purchase Services" which they can click on, and on the next page they can enter the e-mail they used when they purchased the game to receive their order history. This should provide them with both their order number and serial key.
