Ok, so far I've checked the files and listened to most of the soundbites. The suitor definitly is a new enemy, if its music is to be believed (it sounds a lot like the chase music in the rest of the game). Also, there appears to be a tunnel that is somewhere in the new areas, as there is a new dust_tunnel particle.
Has anyone investigated this further?

Wow, this sparked my curiosity! Digged the files in my game folder, and saw music and *.snt files, though not the *.ogg sound files that the *.snt files are referring to... Odd.
:O Mysterious! Quite a few steam games have potato updates. I'll have a look when its downloaded. I'll try and check out that trigger if I figure out exactly where it is?
In entities>ptest there is a folder called secret_door. Inside it is a file called shelf_secret_door_rotate.
