For those of you who are old enough to remember the old Maniac Mansion, Do you guys think it'd be possible to do a Maniac Mansion recreation? I think it'd be fun and itd be a nice engine to work with.
I'm no programmer so i guess this is more of a suggestion? Share thoughts i guess.
Well, recreating the mansion and puzzles wouldn't be too difficult at all I would think. You'd just need modeling for all the entities, and NPCs and animation. But otherwise, yeah, would be awesome.
Only thing is, you switching characters would take a lot of work.
On the other hand, both had enemies that would chase you without any chance of retaliation, so thematically, it would fit and the biggest issue of recreating any other game (that you'd need to find a way to make the monsters fightable) is solved already.
