So I just bought the game through Steam and haven't been able to get more than half an hour into it without some sort of problem.

Problem #1: Everything is upside-down. Like, when it's not supposed to be. My sanity levels are normal. It seems to happen after the brief cuts where the camera does flip upside-down, only it sticks.

Problem #2: This is just recent, but now it's been giving me EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION and crashing. I've read that the solution is that Amnesia is trying to use the generic graphics card rather than my actual video card. This is not the case.

I'm using a Toshiba Satellite P300 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 video card. This is the only thing at all that is giving me problems.

I attempted to download a new driver off of the ATI website but...it wasn't working. It seemed to only give me the option to download a crapload of stuff and the Catalyst was refusing to work. Long and short of it is, just getting it to work may be proving more stressful to me than the actual game itself.

Help?

What is your OS, if Win7 32 bit, so here's the driver for you:

Download, uninstall old driver, reboot, install new one.

This should do. Download the first thing which is 1.1 MB, it will download the actual driver.

It's not giving me the option to download anything at 1.1 MB. Just the Software Suite, Control Center, the HydraVision Package and AMD Codec Package.

This is giving me the same error it's always given me when I try to install Catalyst:

ATI Catalyst cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on your computer. The version of your graphics adapter is not supported.

You sure your graphic card is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650? Mine is ati mobility too and I update it every month or so without getting an error.

It might be modified, so you might want to check Toshiba website for updated drivers.

Uh...yeah, I'm sure, unless my computer is really just trying to mess with me by giving me the wrong name for everything. Is yours specifically a 3650, or one of the newer models? This laptop is two years old, and the card itself might be older.

However, Amnesia is the only game or video process in general that I am having ANY problems with.

Since Amnesia uses OpenGL it needs newer drivers. Mine is Mobility Radeon HD4570, nearly same specifics with HD3650. So it would run the game on highest settings. However, driver is getting in the way.
