Ok, so i am hoping to make a chandelier that when an earthquake strikes the building, it falls from the ceiling. Now i know that chandeliers stay where they are placed (apart from their ability to swing around). I was hoping somebody could help me or instruct me on how to stop this from happening so that they aren't anchored to the roof, and they will therefore fall (effectively making a rag doll chandelier).

By this i mean i would like a completely flexible version of the same chandelier (still with all the same textures and properties) except that when placed on a map it will adhere to the rules of gravity and fall straight to the floor =)

I would really appreciate some help here as i am proposing to do the work myself and i simply want some instruction and a guiding hand =)

Also, as a nice little sweetener to the deal;

I WILL RELEASE THE FINISHED RAG DOLL CHANDELIER(S) TO THE FORUM UPON COMPLETION

=) hopefully that will make the trade equal, in exchange for help and a guiding hand i will give out the finished product to the entire forum =)

(i may also make a version of this rag doll chandelier for every chandelier model that there is in the game (and maybe even hanging lanterns) =)

Thank you for your help and time ^_^

Download

IMPORTANT INFO;
when this is downloaded, unzip it and copy the folder into your amnesia root/entities/lamp/ (here). Place it within the lamp folder and then there you go =)

All credit goes to Tanshaydar for the brilliant guidance and instruction on how to make the rag doll =)

If anyone wants other forms of lamp entities turned into rag dolls just ask ^_^

enjoy ^_^

Edd,
Delete the joints and make it grabable in model editor; and add mess to every single body.

=D and how do i do this? =)
Open the chandelier in model editor, open the outline, delete every single joint. Then select every single body and change their mass from 0. If 0, they will float.

so should i change the mass to 1 or does it need to be larger than that? =) sorry for all the questions x3 what is the typical mass that will create the most realistic gravity effect?
5 for organic hand mass. Decide for yourself. Try different values and see how it reacts in model viewer or so.
Done it =D I will upload it in a moment ^_^
Tried it as well and I got it to work with the instructions from Tanshaydar, thanks a lot man Smile It'll be useful.

No problem man ^_^
Delete every single joint Tanshaydar? Why not just make the top joint breakable? :S
