if you have made maps in Source, you can make maps in Amnesia. I can't make maps in Source, yet I can easily in the Amnesia editor. So yes, it is very very easy.

If you want to start makeing maps just go for it. I had never done anything like this before but you got to use quite a while on it to get it going. read this site
http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/hpl2/amn..._functions

It tells you how to start makeing maps and script, also has a download for the programs you need. then just prepare coffee and start reading and learning by try and fail. how most people did it here. Good luck Smile
I find scripting and building a custom story can be fun and easy. It's just that you need a lot of practice and that I've been building them almost half a year ago. :p

Is there any tutorials on mapping? I cant seem to find like any floor objects
Hey Jacob,

Map Making looks pretty hard in the beginning. But once you get used to how everything works, You are fine. I'll give you a link to a tutorial, which you can begin with!

http://wiki.frictionalgames.com/hpl2/tut...tutorial_1

It's pretty well-explained. Do this, Then make your own creation, follow other tutorials, and you will be fine.
If you have Any further questions, feel free to send me a PM and i will try to answer it as good as possible.
For floor objects, use Primitives (planes), then select a texture which makes sense for the area you want.

So, first, select Primitives (the cylinder and cone icon). Then, click on the "..." on the right panel. Select "static_objects", then the base you want (such as mansionbase, cellarbase, dungeonbase, etc.). After that, just pick the one you want and make it. Very simple. Smile
Amnesia is the hardest place to make maps I've seen after GTA: SA.
