so basically the story is every time i open amnesia up, it immediately crashes after i press start game.

I also find it weird that on the start-up screen where you can choose graphics quality it detects my graphics card is a Intel Bear Lake B.

My friend plays this game with 2 GB RAM, 516MB video card, and a single core Intel-Celeron at 2.00GHz.

I don't understand how a 800$ computer doesn't work for amnesia when my friends that have 200$-300$ desktop and laptops play it without a problem.

If your only gpu is Intel Bear Lake B then you cannot play the game. Most probably this is the embedded one though. So, what graphics card do you have? Please attach us here the file HPL.log found under Documents\Amnesia\Main folder.
nevermind it wont work then because im 100% sure its a Intel Bear Lake B. but maybe you can help it work on my laptop? cause it wont work on my laptop either.
heres the info.

What the graphic card appears when i start the game.
Video device: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Unfortunately your graphic card is below system requirements.
the one for my laptop is below system requirements?
Unfortunately. Mobile IntelĀ® 4 Series Express Chipset Family doesn't support Amnesia.
If you have Windows XP you can download a new driver from downloadcenter.intel.com for the Mobile IntelĀ® 4 Series Express Chipset Family, that could make it work. If you have Vista/7 they have not yet released the updated drivers that could potentially fix the Amnesia issue.
He is using Windows 7 as seen in the pictures in the topic start.

Well, both these cards are very low end ones and not meant for gaming. Are sure that a 800$ computer has only such a bad graphics card? This doesn't sound well.

It is true though that both these cards, except if on Windows XP, do not support the game.
