I like it.
My opinion? Rip-off of every Silent Hill game made so far. Simply a Sh*tpour, nothing original.

No Order? Even Silent Hill 2 had the occult things.
Rainy atmosphere? Silent Hill 2 rip-off.
Breakable objects? Silent Hill 4: The Room, Origins.
Look at back over your shoulder, drop things on your way? Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
One monster (or mini bos?)? Silent Hill: Homecoming, Order Members.

At one part I thought I was watching a Dead Space trailer...

A Silent Hill 2 wannabe mediocre game.
Whats so Bad about it trying to be like SH 2? I think thats a good thing.

The point is, nothing can be like Silent Hill 2.
I thought people were expecting original things from a game named Silent Hill...
Well, in today's gaming industry, I guess it's only natural.
Well basically, the developers have said it themselves too, that it's just a rehash of the older games. But they just put it into a more appealing sense saying that they are just taking the aspects what they like from the older games into the game. But can't really say nothing about it at the moment.. not expecting much though.

That's the problem here. That's why video gaming industry is like this today: http://www.twitpic.com/4ydma9/full

I completely agree. It seems like developers are following the same old trends and refusing to try something new and be original. However, some of the games that are being original are lower-profile games that are being ignored, so I suppose it isn't encouraging developers to think outside the box.

is it just me or u don'tlike Dead space Tongue i admit Dead space 2 haves to much action (not that scary in other words) but you got to admit the first one was preatty creapy Tongue
It was enemy-wise that I find similarity. Dead Space has no single part to be compared to Silent Hill. So, it was a humiliation for Sh*tpour.

In Silent Hill, every single scene has a meaning to story and/or protagonist, monsters have lots of meanings that tons of fans are still discussing about those after ten years.
Dead Space has just abominations as monsters. Although I liked the first game in psychological horror aspect, second one is a complete disaster and nothing but a mediocre horror game for CoD players.

For more about Dead Space 2, I'd suggest everyone to read Thomas' post: http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/2011...ace-2.html

So back to topic. I have no expectations for Sh*tpour. Non especially a hypocrite like Tomm Hulett is still in the team.
I wish Tom hulet had nothing to do with the game, shattered memories was terrible. All the gameplay iv seen from downpour takes place in the woods so it looks like Alan wake a lot.
