I don't know if I'm in the right section but anyways;
It would be great if FG could add a "Thanks" button to this forum because
let's say I helped someone or made an awesome release, then instead of everyone spaming "thanks!" etc they could easly press the "Thanks" button to show their gratitude.

I don't see a thumbs down button, so I guess I'll have to articulate with a posted reply that I would prefer people explain how much and why they like something instead of faceless voting.
Also, those +1 and Like buttons are only useful in a social networking situation where it would at least notify people that you know that you liked or thanked something enough to hit a button, thus propagating some small tidbit of information through your web of friends. On a Ye Olde Style BBS forum descendents, it doesn't really make sense.
the thanks button is usefull because it will save the forum a lot of messages like thank you, thx etc... Usually though only VBulletin has such buttons.

Maybe something like a guestbook then. Or have a thread specifically for them rather than new ones each time. I just feel random +1 and fav buttons are so cold and impersonal. Not saying it couldn't work but it's just my opinion, I don't like them.
