for the past 2 weeks i've been trying to find the problem. when i run any of the editors it's a black box and at the top it says "unamed map hpl level editor".

Might wana try reinstalling the tools also.

I think that this is part of the problem, I found this log.
-ERROR: Unable to open config file 'MainEditorSettings.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!
-ERROR: Unable to open config file 'C:/Users/Alexander/Documents/HPL2/LevelEditor.cfg'! Invalid filepointer returned!
I looked in that folder and found a log file named "LevelEditor". I attatched it as well.
