I saw some other guy who had the EXACT same problem as me, but he had a Dell laptop. I had to update the driver just to get Amnesia to start (was getting the EXCEPTION ACCESS VIOLATION crash), and now I can't see any images where there are supposed to be graphics (can see text, menus and journals).

I have the latest Pavillion (got it not 3 weeks ago) and have recently updated my driver (not 5hours ago).

The graphics devices I have are:
Mobile Intel® HD Graphics
Radeon HD 6770M

Amnesia is literally one of the only reasons I decided to invest in a gaming laptop, as the last "scary" game to come out on consoles was Dead Space, which wasn't "scary" at all. Someone PLEASE help me out
You have two graphic chipset and one is AMD, which conflicts with OpenGL games and Amnesia can only detect Intel one.
You should install latest graphic drivers for Intel in order to play the game. You cannot use AMD one I'm afraid.
Seconded with Tan. Make sure the Intel card has the latest driver which is 2361. This is an AMD issue when it comes to OpenGL games and Intel embedded cards.
my laptop cant download that one. oh well. Looks like I wasted 20 dollars.
Yes, it can. Go to the manufacturers website and find the latest intel driver, it should be 2361 for the game to work.
Guess who tried that before posting his last message? Me.
what's the error? You must be downloading the wrong driver or something...
Well I downloaded the AMD driver, which went smoothly and ended the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_ crash that had been preventing me from starting the game up. When I tried updating the Intel driver, the first one I tried, which was the right one for everything I had according to the HP website, it read that I did not have the right specs on my Laptop to download it. I'm pretty sure something similar happened with yours. Plus, when I scanned my system with that "detect driver updates" download I got from either Intel or HP, it couldn't detect anything.
what is the model of the laptop exactly? Have you changed the default operating system?
No I haven't and my laptop is an HP Pavillion dv6 notebook pc.
