Nah, it's the same. SOMA is powered by HPL3, it makes sense to be here. Either way, it's no big deal.

So this game is once again made my Frictional Games themselves? No offence to TCR but AMFTP basically robbed me 20€. I hope Frictional learned lesson or 2 from that episode, and go back to the roots.

(thanks for useless email notification)

It is using a level made with the new HPL3 Editor and the level is from the teaser trailer. I thought maybe we could start dissecting the footage, and maybe with our eagle eyes (if we have any) could look through the video frame by frame and see what clues we could find about SOMA.

To start, lets note that the corpse's brain has been replaced with strange machinery. Maybe it was "cyborgified" by the other machines we saw in the videos.

Personally I enjoyed AMFP, just because you didn't like it for some reason doesn't mean it's a bad game.

Yes, it's being made by Frictional. TCR was a one-night-stand and they left to do other things.

I think it's a nerve scanner of some kind. The body convulsed and shook while it was activated and then blood poured out of the garbage-can looking thing. I think it cloned a brain by somehow copying the nervous system.

That does not mean it is game-related news. There is a lot of news about Cryengine and it's [new] feature but that does not mean it is related to new Crysis or Ryse or whatever game.

Anyway:

Looking good so far.

It kind of reminds me of Dead Space, Deus Ex, and Fallout as far as atmosphere goes.

Ryse and crysis are much bigger games :p

Better to have a story and end it, then to never realise it has begun...
