Anyone wants to take bets that Simon is British?

Well, considering we've heard his voice in the video previews... I don't think so.

Who is Ian Thomas? Never heard of him as a member of Frictional Games.
Seems that the team growed up from 5 to 15 people.

#hype

I find the monster interesting actually, it's too early to judge whether or not it's scary imo, but it's something that I could say is certainly unique.

Sparkly blue things don't terrify me so much. Hopefully we'll have monsters which resemble the fascinating creatures that truly exist deep below.

I'm a bit surprised that the setting isn't deep enough that it's pitch black and there aren't any tube-worms around. Anybody who's seen footage of the deep sea trenches would know how creepy those could be.

It's a pity that so many seem to be just looking for a horror-packed Amnesia successor. The initial plans for SOMA were a game with only some horror elements but a bigger focus on story and narration. I fear a lot will be disappointed when it gets released and it not being as scary as Amnesia.

Wait, what's going on? I thought SOMA was always going to be another Frictional game: an atmospheric, first-person horror adventure.

RPS wasn't impressed at all. Mediocre so far, in summary.

Isn't it a bit early to be judging the game based on reviewers impressions of an alpha demo? The game is obviously going to change a lot. And they didn't really say anything bad of it from what I read.

Nope, "The Super Secret Project" was originally meant to be a sci-fi exploration puzzle game of some sort, but it slowly turned into a horror game.

But seriously? Already someone whinging about monsters not looking scary enough? I've always thought the monsters in TDD look ridiculous, but when you come across them in the game, it's a whole different story. It's not about the monster, it's about the atmosphere and the story. (Plus we've seen what, a 2 minute compilation of about 30 minutes of gameplay from an alpha build?)
