it's probably a joke. "loss" is a /v/ meme of absurd abstractions of a particular webcomic page. one of the most common examples is a faux chinese/japanese symbol.

I'll be a bit disappointed if all we get from this ARG are clips from the movie that will be out on the 1st.

I think it's unlikely that the film will be out on the 1st of June. The release date stated on IMDb is probably a tentative placeholder because:

1. Pick-up shots were still being filmed on the 12th of May (see here: http://www.twitch.tv/starrmazer/b/658569430);
   
2. In the same video, when questioned about the release date, Don Thacker (the director) was evasive in his answer, stating that it will be released "this year, by the end of the year". Maybe he was just being secretive about it, but why be secretive if there's a release date on IMDb?

Is anyone keeping a summary of the process? I don't mean to cheat, but decoding phases and such are nowhere near my strong suit. I've been figuring it out on my own, but I highly doubt I could figure out how to do those parts on my own - or find whatever page goes over how to do it. x_x

you could try using the search thread function.

In my experience, forum searches are only reliable for finding entire topics. Locating specific posts never seemed to work; It either only shows one post from a topic instead of every relevant post, or the bigger issue of "what keywords would get me the right information?" since this isn't as advanced searching as Google.
