[PS4] Game crashes every time at a specific part

During your face-to-face meeting with Catherine, every time she starts to say "Is that an Omnitool?" the game crashes back to the PS4's home screen, and the PS4 error message says it's error code "(CE-34878-0)" I've tried multiple times, but every single time I get to that exact part the game crashes.


Anybody else having this problem?

Update: I stayed in Catherine's lab without talking to her, and the game crashed again with the same error code. Whatever is causing the game to crash is related to entering Catherine's lab.

Another update: Just did another attempt. In this attempt, I didn't enter Catherine's lab, but I pressed the button to close the door to her lab. After a minute or so, the game still crashed, and displayed the same error code.

I too, am encountering the same bug along with that error code. I've tried this three times. I even tried going directly to the terminal in the lab with the Omnitool slot, without looking at Catherine and the game immediately crashed.

This issue isn't just on PS4, I've also been getting it on Linux. Crashes every time shortly after entering the Lambda site/Catherines area.

Tried it with both Arch Linux with open source radeon drivers (Mesa 10.6.7) and in Ubuntu with Catalyst 15.9, both do the same.

Edit: Turns out the same solution as the lever issue: go back to an older save and go from there. If you choose the first save labelled as Lambda site, it will make you trek across the ocean floor again to get to Catherine but hopefully it will work for you this time.

Did you investigate a little escape pod just off to the left prior to entering the Lambda site? That's what I did the first time, maybe that's causing it somehow?

Same here on MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) with Intel Iris graphics - seems to be associated with any time the omnitool is supposed to be displayed, either at the terminal or during the conversation with Catherine.

Same here on Macbook Pro Late 2012, right where Catherine says "Is that an Omnitool you're holding?" it crashes every time. Haven't had any problems elsewhere, just this one specific spot, or if you linger in the room with her but don't talk to her, it will eventually crash as well. Can't progress beyond this point though.

We are not sure what is causing this. But we are trying to reproduce it.
It would be great if someone who has gotten this crash could upload a save file where it crashes
