Hey!

I'm running SOMA on a GeForce 860m and Windows 8.1 on a 4K screen. I want the gameplay resolution to be 1920x1080 though to get better performance, but when setting to 1920x1080, the game's "fullscreen" only takes up a quarter of my screen, the rest being my normal desktop.

I've tried to change my desktop resolution to 1920x1080, no difference, it always looks like the image below.

I've been in love with your stuff since Penumbra, and really hope you can solve this because I've been excited for SOMA before it was even called that, reading your dev blog Smile

Can you check if possible to set the refresh rate on screen to something other than 48hz and/or make sure you match this with the refresh rate in the game options. Any difference?

Sadly it only supports 48hz, though in-game I can set it to 30hz and 60hz as well, but nothing changes when I change the refresh rate... Sad

I think this happens because Nvidia is set to keep the size of the resolution without stretching it. I had to go into the Nvidia Control Panel to change this, so that I could use a stretched 4:3 window, rather than one with black bars:

Yours is probably set to No Scaling. These settings are under Display > Adjust desktop size and position

Hey!

I opened up my Nvidia Control Panel, and couldn't find the tabs you described, I can only see 3 categories:
Adjust image settings with preview
Manage 3D settings
Set PhysX Configuration

None of these apply to the display, Manage 3D Settings has a list of OpenGL features that I can enable/disable per application.

I have btw, an Intel HD integrated chip along side the GeForce 860m, though as per the hpl.log file, SOMA seems to be using the GeForce 860m.

Any other ideas? (Or a pointer on where to find the Display settings you mentioned Smile )

I think you have to go into the Intel HD graphics control panel to control it. At least on my laptop it works like that, the intel control panel controls everything with the basic display and nvidia only 3d.
