Amnesia not responding upon launch

Not Solved Amnesia not responding upon launch
Sorry all for what I'm sure looks like a redundant post, but I've looked through the troubleshooting posts and a few posts that looked like they were about my same issue and I couldn't find an answer.

I've installed Amnesia (and reinstalled, and reinstalled again) and every time I open it, I just get a black box. Occasionally a loading circle shows up, but the game never loads. If I put it in windowed mode, I can see that it shows at "Not Responding" if I click inside the window. I can never get it to go past this black screen.

Last time I got the black screen and tried to ctrl+shift+esc for the task manager, icons appeared at the bottom of the (fullscreen) black screen and these icons were much larger than they should be for the resolution the game is supposed to be set to, based on the settings launcher and my monitor's native resolution. So that's a red flag, I guess.

I have updated my drivers and my graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, so I assume it's good enough to be compatible with Amnesia.

I'll post my hpl log below. Any help is super appreciated!

Add me in the "I have the exact same problem" category. Maybe a recent system update caused this. (I'm on Windows 10 x64)

I had the same issue and found the Xbox One wireless controller was the issue. Might want to look into that. No guarantee that is the issue though.

One thing that can help on Windows 10 is to go to Amnesia.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.

Looks like it may have indeed been a controller that I had plugged in (a Scuf controller for Xbox One). Either that or a new graphics driver that I installed (which wasn't out yet by the time I posted this thread). Thanks for your help!
