It is telling that this confuses nearly everyone that plays Justine

Yea, its one thing to not allow the player to continue from where he died or from a checkpoint earlier than his death.

Its a whole other thing to make the game crash.

Jens / Thomas, please implement some message to clear up the confusion. Smile

I called him waterlurker... until he came running and smashed me while I was standing on my little box to afraid of going down in to the water xP
Btw, how do you create spoilers? :o

RE: What's the purpose of the lattern in Justine? - Vael - 05-25-2011

I'm sure that Justine did such experiments on herself, because she questioned her sanity and humanity.

Spoiler below!
She was the one who imprisoned the ones inside of where you play, and as well as the suitors. She implemented the gramophone records so her older, more insane self could give a walkthrough and have the Justine you are currently playing to question what to do and why she should. And yes, it is all about if she is a relentless murderer (kill all the people in Justine), or you still have your humanity (when you save them).

Yep. Because the very first time I saw him, I thought I heard the sound of keys clinking, at the end of the game I figured out it was the chains, but Mr. Keys stuck. Big Grin

Prison Cells -> 4
Narrow Tunnels -> 6
Library -> 3 (wasn't expecting the door and the guy I killed the first time I played it)
Potato Room -> 5 (I Leeroy Jenkins'ed meself out of that place Big Grin)
Sewers -> 10 (ASKASDJASLF...)
Dark Narrow Corridors -> 5 (nope nope nope)

RE: Amnesia Justine Scaremeter - Urrah - 05-25-2011

Prison Cells -6

Narrow Tunnels -8

Library - 4

Potato Room -9- I have my gamma set very low so when the lights blew out I could hardly see a thing. I only found the door leading out by wall hugging.

Sewers -10- imo this is right up there with the first encounter with the water monster. The chase caught me completely off guard, after the potato room I wasn't expecting another monster so soon. I was blissfully happy when I made it to the last door.

RE: Amnesia Justine Scaremeter - Gharren - 05-25-2011

Prison Cells: 2
Very chilling part for me. Just got scared a few seconds when the monster appeared.
Narrow Tunnels: 4
Scary sounds, but actually nothing happened.
Library: 3
Nice puzzle, most interesting part for me. Interesting, but not scary.
Potato Room: 7
Omg, monster! Where is it gone? o.o
Sewers: 9
