RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Statyk - 12-04-2012 I agree with you on that one Bridge, I kinda took a shortcut on that one. =P Perhaps I'll go back on this stuff at a later date. I'll be sure to keep these things in mind next time RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Bridge - 12-04-2012 (12-04-2012, 07:44 PM)Statyk Wrote: I agree with you on that one Bridge, I kinda took a shortcut on that one. =PIt's a good piece. I don't like this kind of style though so it doesn't appeal to me that much aesthetically but it is well made and reasonably consistent. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - eliasfrost - 12-05-2012 I'm the same Bridge, pseudo realistic paintings look weird to me in a way I can't describe, I'm more for large strokes and thumbnail painting (if that's even a term). Going into detail too much kinda makes it hard to keep the quality consistent for me, it always seem like the balance in quality gets out of hand really quick. It's about knowing what's important to paint and what is not I guess. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - 12-05-2012 I prefer a contrast in the amount of detail. Lots of detail there, where the eye of the viewer is supposed to focus, (Often the face and torso of the character or the most important structure of an environmental piece) broader strokes everywhere else. It helps the overall composition and makes the picture visually interesting without it looking too "noisy". Feng Zhu does this very often (and you should all check out his work if you're interested in concept art - that guy is amazing!) Love that Design school! RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - The chaser - 12-05-2012 Feng-Zu uses a very good technique. I really like it's style, the only thing I get trying to make concept arts are stick-man (yay I made Slender). It's curious: I was looking at the Characters-Creatures section (I love them! :3) and I saw that this guy loves organical-robotical monsters, a lot of them have metal or something like that. He is very different with the ages, sometimes the scenarios are very ancient and others are kinda modern. Like me! This guy is amazing, if he was here I would give him rep+. RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - Statyk - 12-06-2012 I've been watching his tutorial episode videos on his youtube and they are very insightful. This guy does some amazing work, my goodness. Inspiring me to do some rough draft ideas =] RE: Modeling/Art non-related to Amnesia - SunCioX - 12-06-2012 A few of my drawings. In paint!
