Lovely Mr Johnson - ZRPT1 - 09-04-2011
Hello everyone, we are new custom story developers creating our first custom story, it is a work in progress [Aproximately 35% done]
There are two people working on the project, we both only began doing this a week or so ago, but we're learning quickly.
"You're a poor man named Randall desperately looking for some ways to earn money. Randall's need for money leads to his encounter with quite a strange fellow. He offers Randall $60 to help him conduct several experiments, experiments in which he knew little about. Foolishly accepting the mans offer, Randall prepares to head to the old timer's home. Understanding some risks he was warned about, he had high hopes that his experience would be quite enjoyable. Little did he know of the man's true intentions. That Randall was about to become the experiment. That the result of his imprudent act will leave him trapped and hopelessly trying to escape a new born hell. For Randall half the battle will be to figure out the terrifying secrets the stranger holds, if he wants to survive."

We expect this project to be done late September/early October, but that release is subject to change.

The story has got me intrigued yet it seems somewhat familiar, Portal 2? And is that a portrait of Cave Johnson in the third screen
I'm guessing this is obviously inspired by Portal 2 which is a good thing because its one of the best fps puzzle games of all time. In the last screen is that the player carrying around the torch? Because if so then...Awesome!

It is indeed the player carrying the torch.
We decided to take our own twist on the story. Make it a bit darker. (And amnesia like)
This is a test custom story before we actually make our first REAL project, a practice story, if you will.
But that in no way means we aren't putting our full effort into this story; quite the opposite.

I'm also sorry to say that a LOT of custom story's involve experimentation. Your custom story's plot looks a lot like A ray of hopes plot. Also, the original amnesia, and the attic to name a few involve experimentation... It's really not an original idea anymore.. If you're implying that i had "Taken" your idea, that's not the case. Also my story's experimentation is very different from yours.

Cool screenies, bro! You might wanna learn adding a few billboards and some trees outside the windows. That makes the rooms feel a lot more natural. Keep up the good work ^^

Keep up the good work ^^Yes, we learned about those a little late into the project, all that has been done has been updated with nice particle effects and interesting sound entities that play when you approach certain areas. Trees on the other hand will most likely not be included as this is not going to be a "major" project of ours.
