More questions means more progress.

1. How to set a decal "inactive"? There is no active/disable box in the level editor for it
2. How to set a decal (blood pool) active when I enter a script area?

Only entities can be set active/inactive through editor or script.
Check the entities list to see blood pool and other decal entities.
