It looks a bit like mustard, but I don't know how to make it look more "liquidy", any tips? The whiskey bottle remembered me on Penumbra... You could try to make the bottle a bit transparent and then make it looks like liquid with a texture or so ( hope I am to understand ) Or, and this is my best idea, you change the mark of the whiskey in "uncle otto's : Mustard Whiskey" // And look: I learned it RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 10-23-2011 I'm currently making a number of models that I will put up screenshots of as soon as they are implemented. Just wanted to say that this isn't dead. Btw, I fixed the Whiskey bottle, now it looks like glass container instead of mustard. Just wanted to say that this isn't dead. That's good to know! Can't await the next screens! Have a small question to you: Will you also create a broken whiskey bottle, because every kind of bottle was breakable? RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 10-26-2011 I don't know actually, I might make them breakable in the future but right now I prioritize to get as many different assets done. If they are going to be breakable, I have no clue how to make the content spread across the room, it would be weird if the liquid magically disappear as the bottle crashes to the floor. RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 10-30-2011 New screen, I admittedly took a few days break to "refuel" my inspiration and dedication. But I got a few things done: A whiskey Glass, three different book, a bookshelf, another table and a plate. Screenshots provided in first post. Enjoy! Thanks! RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - Arvuti - 10-31-2011 So far your models look pretty damn good but eh the textures could use more detail :/ RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 11-01-2011 (10-31-2011, 11:55 PM)Arvuti Wrote: So far your models look pretty damn good but eh the textures could use more detail :/Thanks a lot! You are entitled to your opinion but I suggest that you re-read the thread again. It's not intended to be stunningly beautiful, but compromisingly stylish. I'm working on texturing aside from this modeling project. I am improving but I'm keeping the initial style to not screw things over and make the assets look unbalanced in detail. Thanks! RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 11-01-2011 Update time, I got three models done: an ashtray, a cigarette and a newspaper. You can check them out in the first post. Also, I just made a circuit switch texture just so you can see my improvement since the first model. Thanks a lot and please share your opinions! Here's the power circuit switch box: http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3966/circuitswitch.png RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - Brute - 11-02-2011 That's really well done! I really like the second table. Looks very stylish. Your models are comic-like, aren't they? RE: Nackidno's Custom Models - eliasfrost - 11-02-2011 Thank you very much Brute! You're spot on, they are supposed to be Art Deco styled and comic-like (now when I think about it, it's similar to the graphical style of Team Fortress 2). Thanks |
