Howdy!
Currently I am making my way through the Penumbra games! Love them!
But I am having an issue with the computer room part. So much so I had to use a walk-through to find out what was going on.
When you arrive at the computer room you give the lovely timekeeper fellow the saw. Then of course the rumbles and screams, lights out. The door blasts open but nothing is there. I walk up to the door and the room is empty.
To resolve this (This is the Steam Gold Collection btw) I checked the integrity of the game and defragged it with the Steam options and yet no change. I re load a earlier save and make my way again, no change.
So today I deleted BP and re downloaded it. Still no change.
In short I cannot continue this amazing game cause some dude wont show

After that happens, quit the game and attach the file HPL.log found under Documents\Penumbra folder or similar

there are many errors, usually a file integrity check will help. Try it again maybe... What graphics card and operating system do you have?

I tried the file integrity option on steam. im not sure how errors can exist since i downloaded it today
My OS is Win7 64bit and GPU is AMD Radeon 6770

Try the latest gpu driver which is for desktop computers: http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_win7-64.aspx

Im already up to date on my gpu. I reformatted my system not long ago.
So again, Ive uninstalled BP and reinstalled it but it still happens.
How am I going to continue the game? Im this far in and dont want to start all over again. It will possibly happen again.
Anyone have any solutions?

maybe someone can give you a later save game. Ask for it at general discussion. I'm sure someone can help with that.
