I've narrowed it down to it being an issue with your .lang file. The Note_letter3_Text entry is causing the game to crash. The attribute is not name but Name (capital N).

That's not the reason. The game is likely just failing to parse something, like a script, .lang file or something in the map. I won't be able to figure it out until i see your custom story files.
i can download all the custom stories at no hassel, but however when i open them in winrar and drag them into (redist) file - "custom_stories" it says that i need to provide administrator permission to move this folder (i click ok) and it moves perfectly... but when i start amnesia and go to custom stories nothing seems to be there!! help me please!!
