Blackbox problem - FinBanana - 06-06-2012

I'm having problems with the LevelEditor. Everytime I launch it, it works fine. The only problem is that part of the window is outside of the screen so I can only see like 3/4 of the window. When I try to move the window there appears a Blackbox window saying:
"LevelEditor.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module ig4icd32.dll at 0023:0343AC00"
I'm using ASUS K53SK with Windows 7 64-bit, Intel® HD Graphics 3000 and the game itself has worked fine.

I'm not sure if this is in the correct part of the forum but for me this seemed the best place for this.

Thanks.

read the sticky guides on how to update your intel hd card using the have disk method

I did how the guide told me to and I still get an error by moving the window.
Only thing that has changed is the "0023:0343AC00" which is now "0023:0358AC00"

I don't think the window can be moved... It is static for a reason

You should be able to move it but it is possible that it does not work properly on an IntelHD as that card is not officially supported.

I were able to move it on my old computer.

So, I'm not able to use LevelEditor on this computer ??

in My Documents/HPL2/ there is a LevelEditor.cfg you can open and edit this in notepad, change the values of width and height to something like 800 600 and then you should be able to see the whole editor, but you probably need to tweak the values to be higher as 1024 and 768 is pretty much the bare minimum needed.

The window doesn't go to the middle of the screen and the bottom of the window can't be seen.
Also when I open another window and then try to go back to Level Editor window it crashes again.
So it makes map making pretty frustrating when it crashes all the time.

Yes so do as Jens said, go to your config file and edit the resolution of the editor, that way it won't be outside of your screen anymore.

RE: Blackbox problem - plutomaniac - 06-06-2012

Also if you want it to remain to that very low resolution try making the .cfg file read-only. It might work, I have tested it with higher resolutions for sure. This means though that whatever changes you make inside the editor will not be saved and you will have to manually tweak these at the read-only .cfg file.
