Help With Amnesia? I Can't Play - vladobsessed - 06-10-2012
Today I went out to a local GameStop to buy Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and they gave me a receipt with codes on it and things. I downloaded and installed it just fine, so I thought. Now when I try to run the game by selecting 'launch game'. Every single time I have tried this, a 'BlackBox' window has popped up saying that the game has crashed. The only helpful information given, other than a link to support.frictionalgames.com was a box saying Exception Reason
Amnesia.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module Amnesia.exe at 001B:0046262A
I'm operating on a hp desktop or something, xp, windows 7, I really don't know. The game was installed on a second internal hard drive that works for everything else. Is there any forum or individual that could help me? Sorry for the inconvenience.
