It is a desktop.

Well, this is for laptops but try it, it might work to update your drivers:

(I don't think so though...).

Nope, it did not work. For some reason, I feel like the errors mean that I am missing files in my particle folder, but I don't understand why.

I sorta figured out the problem. Since it was particles, I was asking my friend to look in his particle folder. I am missing practically every file in the particle folder. What do I do?

This is a driver issue but if you insist, from where did you get the game?

RE: Lighting Problem - bored2tears - 06-10-2012

Yeah, downloading the files did not work from my friend.

I downloaded it from Steam. I verified the integrity of the files, and everything said it was fine.

Since it is a desktop, buy a new graphics card. Yours is very old to be able to play the game. Even the cheapest ones can play Amnesia properly.

Do you know of any that will work fine and are under $100? I don't have a lot of money, and I don't really want to spend a lot of money for one game alone (my graphics card somehow handles Oblivion, so I was upset that this couldn't be handled).

RE: Lighting Problem - plutomaniac - 06-10-2012

What motherboard does your computer have (or what model is it, if it is OEM)? Can you give me a online store from where you want to buy the card?

RE: Lighting Problem - bored2tears - 06-10-2012

I am not sure specifically, but I know that it is a Dell.

I don't mind what site it comes from.

Also, I'd like to thank you for helping me out with this. You took a lot of time out to help me.

You can see your model at dxdiag, at the System tab(the first one)
