That's the point. There's really no "now", because it's already in the past.

As confusing as it is, it is like a tower of cute pandas.

A simpler way to put it is that the sun you see is the sun from eight minutes ago, because light has travel time.

And I love this topic too =D

I'd say that there is a now. It's just not comprehensible by our senses.

So lovable...

So if we're never really living in the present, why did we invent the concept of the present? It's just a past that wasn't as long ago. Also, we could never "live" in the future.

While on the concept of time: Time travel is impossible. Nature naturally prevents it by slowing down time as we reach the speed of light.

Damn, now I feel all "soul-searchy". I need to take a nap.

It isn't. But time dilation is.

I'd say the concept of "present" can only be used as a metaphor, and refers to the timeframe "around right now". It can never truly be taken seriously by our senses.

Wouldn't that still mean we can go to the future? I remember Einstein saying something similar, that if there were two twin brothers, and one went onto a light-speed jet for some years, the brother on the jet could come off just as young as before, while the other brother is an old man.

The "present" was probably created for those who could not comprehend the thought of there only being past and future. I bet most of my friend would tell me to shut the hell up if I told them the present didn't exist. haha.
